Expanded Polyethylene (EPE) sheets are lightweight, flexible, closed-cell foam, commonly used as protective cushioning, impact and shock protection, general packaging uses. It is a non-crosslinked foam. Also known as marine buoyancy foam, EPE foam sheets are highly resilient, non-abrasive and chemically inert, water and moisture resistant (not 100% waterproof) and environmentally 100% recyclable. EPE foam is quite popular to use for various moisture resistance and thermal insulation. Because of its great strength to weight ratio, you find them in basic foam packaging, tool storage trays floor underlay, furniture edge protection and water flotation. It is used in tool storage trays, and as packaging in Pelican and Road cases. It is also used in some gym floor mats and foam gym equipment and can be shaped and manipulated for events and display purposes.

The Foam Company's Expanded Polyethylene (EPE) Sheet is extremely versatile as it is easily shaped, formed, routed, and cut to size in the same way as Kaizen Foam, though the layers do not separate as easily as for the Kaisen material. It is dust-free (does not powder), is non-abrasive, is inert, and resistant to fuels and oils.

WATER RESISTANT

Our EPE foams are resistant to water absorption and being impervious to water, making the foam used in marine buoyancy applications. Being a closed-cell foam, the low moisture absorbance tolerates wet environments. Prevents water penetrating the structure of the board and provides strength and durability which is essential for high performance applications.
